Do you complete the tax return for each canton?
Yes, we fill out the tax return for each canton.
Has the deadline for my tax return been extended?
In many cantons there is an ordinary and a maximum deadline (the deadlines for all cantons can be found here: https://www.taxea.ch/en/important-deadlines). We will apply for an extension of the deadline for all orders received before the ordinary deadline. Before the maximum deadline expires, we will apply for further extensions of deadlines for outstanding orders.
What happens after I have placed my order?
You receive an order confirmation
One of our tax specialists will complete your tax return and contact you if any information or documents are missing.
As soon as the tax return has been completed, your tax specialist will upload the tax return online in Findea and inform you by e-mail. You can check the tax return and give the tax specialist your consent to submit it.
Your tax specialist submits the tax return on your behalf and then sends you a confirmation by e-mail.
You will receive the tax invoice from your tax municipality in the near future. Until then, you do not need to take any further steps.
By when must the tax return be submitted?
The deadline for tax returns varies from canton to canton. You can find an overview here.
Do you offer a consultation before I place my order?
We are also happy to offer a consultation before you have placed your order. Such a consultation lasts 45 minutes and costs CHF 150.
How long will it take for you to complete my tax return?
This depends on which package you have chosen. The estimated processing time for the Basic package is 10 weeks, 3 weeks for the Bestseller package and 10 days for the Prime package.* â
*The stated processing time per package is only an estimate and depends on the number of tax returns to be processed; it is therefore not a guaranteed deadline. The deadline is calculated from the time when the information and documents submitted are complete and is dependent on your cooperation in the event of subsequent questions.

Alternatively, you can extend the deadline independently at the relevant tax office. Many tax offices offer an online form for this purpose.
I am subject to withholding tax: do I have to fill out a tax return?
The completion of a tax return is mandatory as soon as the annual gross income exceeds CHF 120,000 or other income not subject to withholding tax exceeds CHF 3,000.
Furthermore, higher total assets (incl. real estate) cause the obligation to file a tax return. The threshold values vary from canton to canton. In the canton of Zurich, for example, this is CHF 80,000 for individuals and CHF 160,000 for jointly taxable persons.
I am subject to withholding tax: does it make sense to voluntarily fill out a tax return?
A subsequent ordinary assessment (tax return) can be submitted voluntarily in order to deduct effective costs from taxable income that are not included in the withholding tax rates or are only included at a flat rate.
Possible deductions include, for example, actual professional expenses, purchases of occupational pension plans (BVG pension fund / 2nd pillar), contributions to pillar 3a, self-funded education and training costs, costs for third-party childcare, alimony payments, interest on debts, illness and disability-related costs.
I am subject to withholding tax: how do I obtain a tax return form?
This varies from canton to canton. In many cantons, the form can be requested online or directly from the municipal tax office.

Which package should I choose?
If you would like us to check the invoices received from the tax office, we recommend that you choose the Bestseller package.
If you are interested in tax optimization options, have specific questions, e.g. regarding future tax-relevant events, and would like a personal consultation in addition to the Bestseller package, then choose the Prime package.

I have not done any accounting since incorporation, how should I proceed?
Keeping proper accounting records is mandatory for companies according to the Code of Obligations. The tax return cannot be prepared without the annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, notes, appropriation of profits).
